We had a fantastic evening with the WI in Colne this month, organising a fun and lively horse race night for everyone to enjoy.
After a short introduction from Simon, our Chair, explaining how Acorn Cancer Support helps to fill the gaps in care and support for people affected by cancer across St Ives, Huntingdon, Ramsey and the surrounding villages, the ladies were invited to place their bets and get ready for the races.
It was wonderful to see the competitive spirit come alive, proving that age certainly doesn’t matter when there’s a prize to be won, especially when chocolate is involved! After several exciting races, Sarah was eventually crowned the overall winner. Well done, Sarah!
